Scouts Day 2018









The 7th Dar es Salaam Burhani Scouts Group celebrated Milad Mubarak of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA and Syedna AliQadr Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS by holding a scouts day 2018, a perennial crowd favorite providing an evening of group activities, fun and entertainment for the whole family. This year's scout day was held at Annadil Burhani.


After the arrival of the chief guest, AmilSaheb, Shk. Tayabali Patanwala, the program started at 4:45 pm with tilawate Quran e Majeed and mataam followed by opening speech by Ass Troop Leader Bhai Taher Vejlani. “ A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, brave, thrifty and clean, teaching scouts to live by these words in every part of their daily lives is how scouting makes a good citizen and a future leader in many dawat idaras.” The Assistant Troop leader opened the event by above words and declared the event open.


The main event got underway amid fanfare with the flag hoisting ceremony, the general salute and playing of the national anthem. This was followed by guard of honor and a colorful march past led by the scouts, cubs and brownies bands.

The next was an appreciation ceremony to award the group's best performers in recognition of their dedicated services.
  • Best Attendance was awarded to Husain Moiz Seifuddin
  • Best Scout Boy was awarded to Tayeb Mu Abdulhusain Khanbhai
  • Best Assistant Patrol Leader awarded to Juzer Mu. Mustafa Wajihi
  • Best overall Helpers awarded to Imran Shk Najmuddin Gohar, Huzefa Mufaddal Alibhai and Huzefa Shabbir Akberali
  • Best Patrol Leader awarded to Moiz Shamoon Yusufali
  • Best Overall Patrol - Mt Kilimanjaro Patrol no.5


Best performers in cubs, brownies, and girl guideswere also recognized and given certificate of achievement during the ceremony. Scouts demonstrated some field activities including a skit and a fun game.

After a short namaz break, it was time for fun, games and activities. Scouts demonstrated some field activities including kahoot Quiz show. The evening set up resembled fairground with thousands of tiny bulbs illuminating the stalls. For the adults and older children there were 20 new and innovative games to choose from. The tots had great time in their play area which included jumping castles, splash balls, water slides and Fun Activities area. There was also a section for the caterers who had field day satisfying the hundreds of BBQ, Chat Pat lovers.

The curtains were finally drawn by the anxiously awaited raffle draw whose lucky winners were drawn by the chief guest. Fabulous prizes included KUN Safar,Dar Mumbai Dar ticket, and many Home Appliances.
